Romy Levy Yamaori

This intimate VR180 piece features Romy, a gifted pianist, performing La Valse d’Amélie from the iconic film Amélie.

It’s a simple but powerful demonstration of how immersive video can elevate a musical performance - both visually and sonically.

We shot it at Romy's studio, together with my friend and collaborator Shlomi Gvili, who also handled the professional audio recording and ambisonic mixing.

The project was an opportunity to highlight the strengths of VR180:

  • Crisp image quality and close-up framing

  • High frame rate, capturing subtle finger movement with precision

  • A subtle, floating camera motion that adds depth without distraction

It’s a simple but powerful demonstration of how immersive video can elevate a musical performance — both visually and sonically.
