When We Stayed Home
When We Stayed Home is a remarkable international production by Targo, created during the global COVID-19 lockdown in 2020 — a year unlike any other.
The project documented four iconic cities around the world as they came to a standstill: Tokyo, Venice, Paris, and Jerusalem. I had the privilege of filming the Jerusalem segment, alongside producer David Ben Moshe.
We wandered through the empty streets and sacred sites of Jerusalem — places that are usually teeming with tourists and spiritual energy — and found ourselves completely alone. It was a surreal and moving experience.
The final result immerses viewers in each of the four cities through personal stories and stunning visuals. The production was critically acclaimed, and Targo was nominated for an Emmy Award in 2020 for this work.
